By interacting with the aliens, you come into conflict with your enemies. The game's environment is full of beautiful, well-designed elements that players may be compelled to explore. In order to face off against the game's enemies strategically, players must use characters with specific weapons. The game also provides indications of the aliens' activities so as to keep track of its environmental observations.

Meld is a new resource in XCOM 2 that you need to consider adding to your resources. You can move soldiers around the map using a tool called MELD. Meld is imperative for completing the game, so prioritize adding it to your stockpile. You can easily view this element from the first level; you need to move someone near it to collect it. After that, you start a war against alien enemies. Until you create them, the aliens won't be visible to you. You'll need to take care when interacting with them; many players will choose to hide in safe areas. Once they arrive, characters that can attack are those closest to the alien's targets. Taking on the terrifying extraterrestrial invaders demands a lot of focus as of current. From your command tower, you direct the armies as they wage war. As the wars progress, you remain in your perch to supervise and issue important orders to each soldier. In the end, your campaigns triumph. A shocking conspiracy reveals itself from inside the XCOM organization. How can you continue to fight with your strength intact when you learn that traitors operate both inside and outside the military?

Fighting massive battles against alien monsters breaks down each into many parts across different areas of the world. Different continents feature different landscapes, climates, and even insects. Even the objectives vary. Some missions require players to rescue the residents of the area while others require them to destroy a key base of the alien enemy. Some might even require players to locate weak points in the enemy's spaceship structure. Each mission features multiple difficulty levels. Different bonus points are awarded for how difficult a level is, how well you perform, and how well you strategize during a battle. These points determine which rewards are given out, such as upgrades to your weapons or the skills of your warriors. Some bonus points also determine which new ships are added to the team's fleet.

The XCOM Army consists of the world's most valiant and powerful heroes. Their name reflects the skills and strengths they possess, as well as the primary weapon they use. Our forces feature Assault soldiers trained in handling a wide array of heavy and advanced weaponry. They also have access to machine guns that allow them to quickly change locations. Our Heavy class carries around special equipment that can shut down the enemies’ machines for our Assault soldiers to use their more advanced weapons. Additional to the party is Support, who can increase the team's health and defense. And Sniper closes out the lineup with his expertise at long-range shooting. He excels in close-quarters terrain, where he can quickly dispatch enemies hiding in obscure spots. XCOM comes with a Mec Trooper, a half-man, half-machine warrior. Additionally, the Drone robot is used to survey and investigate the enemy location. The XCOM team's base is a secret underground location that serves many purposes. It serves as a recruitment center, weapon development location, research hub and command center. The base has several different sections that each serve a specific purpose.
