The School — White Day's story revolves around a high school student named Hui-min. Throughout the story, he feels that studying is a waste of time due to its mundanity. This is because his parents put a lot of pressure on him to attend school every day with a sour expression. After class at Yeondu High School ended for the day, Hui-min returned home. He realized he had left something at school, so he decided to search for it. While searching, he ran into a female student who was at school for the first time. Hui-min’s forgotten why he comes to Yeondu; the two encountered several hidden areas in the school after talking. The two became confused at just how stuck they felt in Yeondu afterward. The scene is so dark and devoid of sound that no one can discern what's happening in the foreground. Will Hui-min be able to return to his home?

The game begins with a short video that provides a summary of the life of the main character, Hui-min. It shows the scene at Yeondu Highschool when the video first started. After this, the player takes on the role of Hui-min and interacts with his friends throughout the remainder of his life. They also write the rest of his story. In The School – White Day, control is convoluted due to the role-playing components. Instead of choosing and interacting like in Death School, people use a joystick to move around Hui-min. Action buttons are located in the corner of the screen; they're touchable for implementing actions such as sitting or running. Along the way, useful items appear. These aid in completing the educational quest at this school. I mistook the decorative key on the table next to me for real until I came across a locked door. I needed it to get away from the person pursuing me. That was when my error became apparent. From Hui-Min's perspective, you'll interact with other characters and make decisions that affect the future. Remember to consider all aspects of your goal when making a choice. Also, don't forget to keep Hui-Min safe by helping him find a way out of Yeondu. This is Hui-Min's most important goal; and one you should not regret a few seconds to consider when deciding which direction to swipe in order to pick an appropriate line.

Some horror stories take place in school. The School – White Day is one of them. You'll notice that this theme doesn't involve many knives or guns; however, it still features many frightening moments. One of the scariest parts about this theme is the ghosts in school who hunt down students and teachers. Sonori knows how to create empathy through realistic portrayal of emotions. Once automatic footage is chosen, the short movielike clip will play with a sense of tension and danger.

The School: White Day shines with a detailed 3D platform when playing on its designated day. This is because the game takes place in a dark hallway leading to the classrooms, with students walking through the hallways. Additionally, the audio in The School is very noticeable. Using headphones to block out external noises and suffocate the lack of oxygen in your bedroom are two methods to ease your need to go to the bathroom. The game also encourages you to play in silence so you can concentrate and have a more enjoyable experience.
