There are two base play modes.
You can choose between 2- to 5-person solo mode or training mode with the CPU. The former is for playing by yourself to save humanity; the latter is for challenging the system with multiple difficulties. In training mode, you can take on 4 different challenges against the CPU. All of these challenges add additional difficulties but still provide exciting experiences. Training mode also lets you fight directly against other infections with a team of expert physicians.

The game Pandemic features engaging role-playing game mechanics with challenging gameplay. You'll face two large challenges in the game: fighting to save humanity from the spread of a malicious virus, and fighting to prevent the virus from spreading further. The game's Roles & Events section features many different roles for the players. These can be used to participate in many new events. Completely destroying this viral infection is key to saving the world; it should be done by the best team of scientists and doctors.

The game includes clean, uncluttered graphics with multiple cubes representing each infected city. Each city will display three cubes when it has an active outbreak or epidemic, which will alert the player so they can track down that city and the actions taking place in surrounding areas. When displayed on the right side of the screen, a collapsed menu will appear along with the current cards and actions for tracking. When displayed on the left side, a collapsed menu will appear alongside a transparent box indicating the player's current cards and actions for easier tracking.
